In these upcoming months I will be participating in the Student Visionary of The Year campaign in honor of my uncle Michael Joseph Kmetz. On May 9, 2006 my uncle Michael, or many called him Mike died of a brain tumor. Prior to his tumor he had leukemia blood cancer and survived. He was cherished by so many and known to be a genuine and compassionate person. His life will forever be celebrated by each and every person that he knew. Our goal is spread awareness for blood cancer because it’s currently harming many people across the globe. We want to be able to aid the process of finding a cure in any way possible.

Visionaries look to the future—and see infinite possibility.

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society was built on that same vision - of a better world - one without blood cancers.
